Description
I'm using vmtouch together with an apache2.4 server in a container. The server reads only static files from an NFS share. It happens quite too often that vmtouch simply stops. So far I was unable to find a way to trace down the issue.
I've created a script which runs every second to check if vmtouch is running, if not it starts it again (/usr/bin/vmtouch -t $DIR) and adds a simple log entry.
Output:
Fri Apr 12 10:07:58 UTC 2024 - vmtouch is not running, starting it now
Fri Apr 12 10:25:59 UTC 2024 - vmtouch is not running, starting it now
Fri Apr 12 10:42:17 UTC 2024 - vmtouch is not running, starting it now
Fri Apr 12 10:58:57 UTC 2024 - vmtouch is not running, starting it now
Fri Apr 12 11:16:21 UTC 2024 - vmtouch is not running, starting it now
Fri Apr 12 11:34:03 UTC 2024 - vmtouch is not running, starting it now
Fri Apr 12 11:53:45 UTC 2024 - vmtouch is not running, starting it now
Fri Apr 12 12:10:09 UTC 2024 - vmtouch is not running, starting it now
Please share with me how I can troubleshoot this behavior?
