Update guide to reflect JOSM changes

The guide contains some outdated statements regarding JOSM.

We have integrated restart plugin long ago (in 5857, 9 months ago), so these parts should be reviewed:

"You need to restart JOSM to save your settings. Click “File” in the upper left corner, and Click “Exit” at the bottom of the menu. Start JOSM again by going to the Windows Start Menu in the bottom left corner. Find JOSM and click on it to start."

should simply become:

Click “File” in the upper left corner, and Click “Restart” near the bottom of the menu.

At least in the French translation, there is still a mention of restart plugin. This paragraph should be removed.

The French translation also asks to enable Bing imagery. Bing is enabled by default for a very long time, there's no need for this step.

The example chosen to illustrate presets (place of worship at least in French translation) has been updated recently to separate churches from mosques, temples, etc.

In presets, checkgroup is missing.

I haven't read all pages in detail, there are maybe more thing to update.

I have made the requested change about the restart function, although I will note that in my personal usage "restart" rarely works.

Will leave it to the French crew to update the French materials.

Interesting, can you tell me more about that ? Does it always fail or just sometimes ? Could you tell me about your status report ? Unless you already filed a bug ? We have a bug tracker too ;)

Just tried it out on Windows. I had been running version 61xx and Restart worked when running from the jar file, but not from the .exe. Anyway I updated to the most recent version and it seems okay now. My mistake.

But on Mac, both the 61xx version and the current version from installer, "Restart" is grayed out on the menu.

Sorry, never filed a bug, figured it'd be fixed and it has, though not sure what's up with the Mac version.

Mac support is an incredible mess. I hope it will be fixed in May :) Problems specific to Mac are often not JOSM's fault.

FYI a new tested version (6763) has just been released minutes ago, it's a pretty massive release. See our changelog to see if the manual has to be updated:

Restart issue has been fixed in English. Problems with French translation at http://learnosm.org/fr/beginner/start-josm :

• website screenshot is outdated
• JOSM screenshots are in English
• the whole parapgraph about activating Bing should be removed (http://learnosm.org/fr/beginner/start-josm/#ajouter-limagerie-bing) as it is enabled by default
• the paragraph about restart plugin should be removed: http://learnosm.org/fr/beginner/josm-plugins/#restart
• the preset screenshot about place of worship must be updated: http://learnosm.org/fr/intermediate/creating-custom-preset/#4-un-exemple-de-fichier-de-modle-dattributs

Hi @miracle-E! I'm not working on this issue if that's what you mean.

I'd double check with the Outreachy mentors or the application guidelines for this as I'm not sure if it applies for this application round.

I'd love to be helpful to you if I can, so feel free to ask questions. I'd start with the Outreachy mentor first though about what work counts for the application round as they will have the most updated info.
