macOS app not updating sensor info - unless network access to hooks.nabu.casa is allowed

Describe the bug
Hi, for the past 5 days I have noticed that the "active" sensor is not being updated. When my machine is locked the sensor just stays on. Tried restarting the app and the system, but nothing helps.

The sensor has been working perfectly before, so it's absolutely unclear what happened in the meantime. I have not updated macOS, nor HA, nor the companion app itself.

I remembered that I set little snitch to block all network access for the companion app, excluding local endpoints. When I allowed all access, everything started working.

Now that I turned little snitch back on, sensors stopped working again. Basically, if access to hooks.nabu.casa is blocked, the sensors do not update, even though the companion app is pointed to a local server.

As to why it's connecting via the external url, I have no clue, but should it even matter as the domain is internal anyways? Can I somehow force it to use the local url and not use the external one at all?

• Okay, I just deleted the external url, and it's local now, but EVEN NOW, if access to hooks.nabu.casa is blocked, the sensors do not work. Why is my data leaving my local only home???
