Proposed change
Now that mypy runs with
>=3.13
, we can start to use the new TypeVar syntax for TypeVar defaults as well.This PR explicitly only updates cases where it's an improvement. I don't believe it makes sense to strictly enforce the new syntax as in certain situations the old one is still more readable. E.g. when a TypeVar is reused multiple times or the bound / default type is a union of a lot a different types.
