The problem

The AQI value reported by the Dyson integration doesn't have a unit of measurement, which results in it being handled as if it was reporting discrete values rather than numerical - hence the history isn't really usable.

Environment

• Home Assistant release with the issue: 0.106.5, was already present in 0.103.0 (and reported in Dyson air quality sensor exposes a string #30063, Fix state of Dyson Air Quality Sensor #30100 made a fix but it didn't fix the actual issue - I thought it would)
• Last working Home Assistant release (if known): Probably none
• Operating environment (Hass.io/Docker/Windows/etc.): Docker
• Integration causing this issue: dyson

You can also just customize the entity and include unit_of_measurement for the graphs to work.

I can add a unit of measurement property to the AQI, that wouldn't be an issue.

As far as I can remember the reason I omitted it at the time was because the base class AirQualityEntity didn't have it and also I wasn't sure how to name it (currently the AQI property shows the highest value of all the other sensors).

Yeah I made a template sensor as a workaround on which I set the unit of measurement to "AQI" (I didn't know about the customisation!), that did the trick as in I can now properly use a sensor card, and that sensor has a proper history (with a graph rather than discrete values), but "AQI" as a unit doesn't really make sense...

Hello - just picking this back up. I've added my dyson but it's reporting the AQI as zero. Is there a workaround for this?
