Temperature reported incorrectly from sensors

Description of problem:
I have my unit system set to imperial.
Sensors report as 22.6 F
If I set the unit system to metric, the temperature is reported as -5.2 C

It appears that the conversion in HA is correct 22.6 F = -5.2 C, however, it seems there was a conversion already performed since the correct temperature was 72.68 F or 22.6 C

What kind of sensor?
What developers -> states panel shows for this sensor

Enable debug logging for

• zigpy
• homeassistant.core
• homeassistant.components.zha
• zhaquirks

and submit log for sensor reporting temperature and entity updating its state in HA.

I can't reproduce the problem with the current dev branch which has no changes in ZHA component from RC

Are you sure you are not overriding unit of measurement in entity customizations?

Remove unit of measurement customization for your temperature sensor. That would fix it. It is not a problem with ZHA.

ZHA doesn't do temperature conversion at all. It always sends temperature to HA in C and unit of measurement is static -- C.
I can only explain this behavior if UoM was overriden to F

1. I have not made any changes to the UoM except to try to debug
2. Most of my temperature sensors are zigbee except for 4 (1 zwave, 1 climate, 2 esphome). Those 4 report the correct F temperature

Well, ZHA temperature sensor reports temperature in C and doesn't do any conversion, other than dividing the raw value by 100.
I see iMagic sensor reporting temperature and apparently HA is not converting it to F

@dmulcahey can you reproduce? you are using imperial units, aren't you?

actually, I do see the same with RC. But it is not happening with dev tree. Can you try the current dev environment?
There are no difference in ZHA component between dev/rc so it must be either on FE or core side.
