Dear homarr developers, I am an old user of much more complex dashboards and I have to congratulate you because you hit the nail on the head! Making an app with a real time editor without the need for a boring yaml file is a fantastic idea! Especially for those like me who work at full speed and don't have precious minutes to waste...

That said, I switched to your ecosystem from version 1.4.0 which I must say still has some small rewriting defects, but you will surely do a great job to fix them.

However, I would strongly ask you to implement the ability to use links such as rdp:// jump:// ssh:// ftp:// etc. as soon as possible in order to launch the necessary external applications.

I tried to do it now in the apps but when I issue those links I get an "invalid field" error,

Hi, the wonderful homarr should indeed allow ssh protocol, that would be great with secure shell extension for chrome, so the app definition should allow something like "ssh ip:port" that would open an ssh connection straight from a new browser tab ! Awesome !

Note: 'ANY' protocol should be allowed.
Not just ssh/rpd, etc.

For instance:
"steam://"
"kodi://" (I self-registered this one to open Kodi/XBMC)

Having it locked to http(s) in the first place is kind of dumb.

To add to the conversation here, I'm looking to add links with notion:// as the prefix, so that they open directly into the installed desktop Notion app. Mentioned in #3163 above.

This was possible on Homarr v0.15.10, but is not possible on the latest (0.20.0) as of today. The single reason that this is not possible is because Homarr force validates links. If links were allowed to be added by allowing the user to bypass validation (as was possible on 0.15.10) then this feature would technically work already.
