Log git SHA when process starts

We should augment our build process to include the git SHA in the jarfile, and we should log that SHA every time the platform starts.

This issue has been open for a while, but I still think this feature would be very useful.

@nathanklick is the git SHA recorded as part of the build today? If not, a ticket should be written to document this new feature and this ticket should depend on that one.
