studio: comps browser indexes HTML from dot-directories as compositions #1384

Closed

Description

@miguel-heygen

Projects that vendor tooling assets under dot-directories end up with dozens of junk entries in the comps sidebar — every example/preset HTML file inside them is listed and preview-rendered as if it were a project composition. It also inflates the Lint badge with findings from files that aren't part of the video.

Suggestion: exclude dot-directories (.git/, .hyperframes/, and any other .*/) plus node_modules/ from composition discovery, or honor an ignore list in meta.json.

    Reproduced — walkDir in studio-api/helpers/safePath.ts only skips three exact names (.thumbnails, node_modules, .git), so any other dot-directory gets walked into both composition discovery and the studio lint route. PR incoming with the dot-directory + node_modules exclusion.
