It gets difficult for individuals who don't use desktop icons. like me. to see where it(the recorded gif) went. This could be a option that can be toggled at the initial launch or a preference in future.

After talking with @clearlysid , we want to make sure that we have an option/user_preference to enable/disable this (disabled by default.)
