Thank you for the response! Absolutely! I pretty much always have them grouped by color. But your solution makes the most sense to keep it simple. I will keep using Helio for all of my composition ideas and let you know if I come up with any more. The beauty of Helio is that, by allowing me to view more of my data simultaneously, it is actually causing me to simplify my scores in a most effective way. Brilliant! |

Hi Peter,
Do you know of a way to switch the instrument sound back to a piano? It is
now a very chime-like sound, like a vibraphone, glockenspiel, or bell kit.
But bass notes are too hard to hear on my poor speakers.
Thank you,
Benny

Thank you, I will acquire Pianoteq. Always a pleasure working with Helio!

Hi, the built-in piano instrument was replaced with that bell-like sound a
while ago, mostly for the reason that it was the easiest way to support all
built-in temperaments out of the box.
You'll need to use
<https://docs.helio.fm/getting-started.html#instruments> some third-party
instrument - for instance, I use Pianoteq
<https://www.modartt.com/pianoteq>, which is infinite times better than
the old built-in sampler.

Hello, there may already be a solution for this, but I was noticing that bringing MIDI exports into software like Cakewalk and MuseScore has proven to be a little difficult for a project with many unique segments. Currently, it appears to export as it is displayed in Helio with "no grouping." I was wondering if it could be possible in the future to have the option to export by name, color, or instrument as well.
Thank you for your hard work. This is hands down the most fluid and intuitive MIDI editor that I have ever used. Not to mention that the UI is so crisp and sleek.
