setup recipe for IntelliJ IDEA needed

I was able to build master without trouble on osx. 👍

I've so far failed to see it doing anything with Intellij IDEA though. I installed the LSP plugin. Beyond this I'm not sure what plugins should be used. I left the JetBrains Haskell plugin enabled. I tried with and without the IntelliJ-Haskell plugin enabled.

Some progress: https://github.com/gtache/intellij-lsp#add-a-language-server describes how to configure a server in the IDEA preferences. (Or, a intellij-lsp-haskell plugin can be created.)
I enabled Help > Tail Log in Console, then in IDEA Preferences > Languages & Frameworks > Language Server Protocol > Server Definitions, I tried (one at a time):

• Executable, Extension: hs, Path: /Users/simon/.local/bin/hie, Args: --lsp
• Raw command, Extension: hs, Command: stack exec -- hie --lsp

With some files (haskell and non-haskell) open, both of the above showed a lot of activity in the log. Quite a lot of errors of various kinds. Probably best to try this with no files open, one file open etc. and investigate the issues one by one.

Hi @simonmichael, have you had any more luck with this? I have some friends/coworkers that use IDEA and are getting started with haskell, and this could be really helpful.

Have you tried cabal? stack has some disadvantages on MacOS, compared to cabal...
