Option to not need @hot-loader/react-dom

I am using react 15 still (string refs holding me back)

I was curious if you would expect this plugin to still work if I just remove the line adding the webpack alias for react-dom -> @hot-loader/react-dom - since @hot-loader/react-dom only goes back to 16.7
