Feature request: Switch to https://vitejs.dev/ after php views are gone

https://vitejs.dev/ is nice for quick unbundled development with hot module reloading.
It can also be used for production builds with bundling without having to use two different tools.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem possible to adopt it while the legacy php view are in use.
