Dependency installation failing on OS X

I was having troubles where fsevents was not installing and then consequently node-sass-chokidar would not run. I researched it and found the solution is to delete package-lock.json and then do a reinstall. This fixes it. I had node and npm already installed, so that may have something to do with it.
