Description:

Please add pinch-to-zoom support inside the editor while editing notes.

Currently, when editing small text or dense content, it can become difficult to read or precisely modify text. It would be very useful if users could temporarily zoom in/out using pinch gestures directly inside the editor.

Requested behavior:

• Allow pinch-to-zoom while editing notes.
• Zoom should only affect the visual editing view and should not permanently change document font size.
• Useful for:
  • Editing small text
  • Precise cursor placement
  • Reading dense markdown or code blocks
  • Temporary closer view during editing

Expected behavior:

• Similar to zooming while editing in Samsung Notes and other note-taking apps.
• Optional: remember zoom level per session or per note.

This feature would improve accessibility and editing comfort, especially on smaller screens.

if possible this function required in general for editing anything in this app.

Afaik android does not really support this

But you could use the magnifier accessibility option

The main requirement is specifically pinch-to-zoom directly inside the editor while continuing normal editing interaction at the same time.

Accessibility magnifier tools are not an equivalent replacement because they are separate system-level features and interrupt the editing workflow. The purpose here is not only readability, but fast temporary zooming during active editing.

This becomes especially important for:

• Precise cursor placement
• Text selection and copy/paste
• Editing compact markdown or code blocks
• Working with dense notes on smaller screens

Many note-taking apps already provide this type of temporary editor zoom because it greatly improves editing comfort and accuracy. The requested behavior is simply a quick pinch gesture to temporarily scale the editing view and continue editing immediately without extra steps.

You can configure font size both in Markor settings and in system to your liking.

I think there is still a misunderstanding between “changing editor font size” and “temporary pinch zoom during editing”.

The request is not about permanently increasing text size in settings. The issue is that while editing dense notes, markdown, tables, or code blocks on a small Android screen, users often need a temporary closer view for only a few seconds.

Current workflow:

1. Open settings
2. Change editor font size
3. Return to editing
4. Make the precise edit/select text/place cursor
5. Go back again
6. Restore previous font size

This becomes repetitive and impractical when users normally prefer small text to view more content on screen.

Small font sizes are useful because they allow users to observe more of the document at once, especially in long notes. But during editing, users sometimes need temporary zoom for:

• precise cursor placement
• text selection
• editing markdown syntax
• modifying code blocks
• editing compact paragraphs on small screens

Pinch-to-zoom solves this naturally because it is temporary and instant. After editing, users simply zoom back out and continue viewing the document normally.

This is already common behavior in apps like Google Docs, Samsung Notes, browsers, and many note editors. Browser zoom is also a good example: browsers already have font settings, but users still use pinch zoom because temporary zoom and permanent text size are different use cases.

For Android phones, especially smaller screens, this significantly improves editing comfort and precision without changing the actual document formatting or preferred viewing size.
