Releases: grascii/editor
I
Most joinings between I and consonants that appear in practice have been added. A notable exception is S-I-TH.
S, TH, NG, and NK
This release brings joinings for S, TH, NG, and NK, and many other changes and improvements:
- The editor is now a Flask application. See the README for details on how to run it.
- The editor now fully accepts the official Grascii language.
- Joinings for P-A-*, *-A-F, and *-E-F have been added.
- Consonant blends such as PR, PL, FR, and FL have been improved.
- O-R and O-L have been improved.
- Joining for K-U-R has been added.
Note: Many joinings involving TH and NG/NK have not been modeled due to one or more of the following reasons:
- they are rare
- they do not appear in the Gregg Shorthand Dictionary
- they do not appear in practice
In other news, a Roadmap has been added that lists the plans for future releases.
New Engine Preview
The editor is now a Flask application. As a result, it supports the official Grascii language.
Instructions for running the application are on the README at the tagged commit.
U
Joinings between U and consonants have been added. Joinings of the form *-U-R have room for improvement. Joinings between U and other vowels have not been modeled. That is, using U as a W is not fully supported.
Note: This may be the last release that supports running the application by opening a static webpage.
O
Joinings for O have been added with the exception of R-O-R.
Initial Preview
This version has models for most of the joinings for strokes introduced in lessons 1 and 2 of the 1916 edition of Gregg Shorthand: A Light-line Phonography for the Million. That is, it supports the strokes: K, G, R, L, N, M, T, D, P, B, F, V, SH, CH, J, A, E.
Some joinings have not yet been modeled. Most of these unmodeled joinings are of the form P-A-*, *-A-F, and *-E-F.
