Oldest version of clang++ that is needed to efficiently instrument and build target code?

Hi,

there are some industry projects that have to use very old compilers.
I'm stuck in one with clang 8. Will this old version be a drawback when building FuzzTest or instrumenting target software?
Is there any clang version you would recommend to get the most out of FuzzTest?
