Hello Google Fonts team,
Now that Google Sans has been released as open source on Google Fonts, I wanted to ask about the loopless Southeast Asian versions (Thai, Lao, Khmer, etc.) that have been used in Google products and branding.
Are these loopless builds planned to be released publicly as part of the open-source family, or are they considered internal-only variants?
If they are not planned for release, would it be possible to clarify the reasoning (e.g. branding, readability, localization policy), or whether alternative loopless versions are recommended instead?
Thank you for your work on making Google Sans open source.
