Wrapping to start of line when no matches found

While I find S useful, it often seems s would be sufficient if seek started searching from the beginning of my line when no matches were found after the cursor.

With that behavior it'd be one less keystroke, one less decision, and better behavior since I'm probably looking at a word and expecting the cursor to go there (even if it IS behind the cursor).

Thoughts?

Not a bad idea. How about an option of let g:seek_wrap_line which you could set to 'start' (your intended behavior) or 'next', which would mean seek could find matches beyond the current line. None of these would be the default behavior, of course.

Actually, now that I'm thinking of it again. Maybe it makes more sense to search backwards from the cursor instead of wrapping. So if there's no matches for s then it assumes maybe you wanted to use S. Either seems like an improvement.

I tend to think of seek as an single line operation so next would have limited utility in that context.

That sounds good and straightforward to implement. I'm guessing having S fallback to s if no matches found (the complement to your suggestion) isn't as useful, right?
