GDScript scrolling while selecting text

Issue description

When I selected a few lines of code scrolling became choppy and unresponsive
I was scrolling while holding left click as I was selecting the text

Which graphics card model and screen resolution are you using?

Can you record a video of this occurring with the full editor window and mouse cursor visible?

Oh sorry, I'm using rtx 4070 ti here's the video:

The problem happens when you move your mouse while scrolling, it happened to me enough times to open an issue about that
And just to explain the video:
On my first attempt to scroll down I'm not selecting any text and scrolling is working fine
On my second attempt to scroll down I'm selecting and deselecting a portion of the text while scrolling and scrolling seems to not work as intended
This problem doesn't happen with other programs

I can confirm the issue for version 4.1.1.stable.official.bd6af8e0e.

My system info:

• Windows 10.0.19045
• Vulkan (Compatibility)
• GeForce GT 540M
• Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz (8 Threads)

Scrolling is working fine when I do it while moving mouse, but it becomes erratic when I scroll while moving mouse and selecting text in the script editor.
