ANSI color codes in recent engine builds break the status table

Something has changed in a recent version of the engine, and the built table is no longer formatting correctly.

This occurs on firefox and chrome, for both the github.io build, and locally for commit 2303ce843 (2025-03-21).

I strongly suspect something has broken the expressions within the various sed calls, and will now investigate.

I think it's due to a recent addition of ANSI color codes. Stripping them out using sed seems to resolve it locally.
