Feature request: Shortcut for "Check now"

Hi, 

if possible I would like a keyboard shortcut for Check now. My workflow is that when I see news, I open google reader and read the news. Afterwards I click the "Check now" option in readernotifier. This would be nice if this could be handle using a keyboard shortcut.
