Get weather based on IP geolocation

I was thinking that it would be nice to have the location for the weather widget automatically determined based on an IP's geolocation.

I have started implementing this myself for my own usage using the ipwho api, and if it is something that other people would find useful I can make a PR when I finish it.

Is there a good way to access the request/IP from inside the widget? (I think I need to access it in requiresUpdate, update, and render)

No plans to implement this for the foreseeable future since it's a fairly niche feature that would require more effort than it's worth. As you've already noticed, the widgets in Glance aren't built around the idea of per-client data, so that would need reworking, amongst other things.
