Problem Statement

Almost every week we receive an error event from a very old Release. We prefer to filter out events for such a Release as it is no longer maintained. When this happens, my workflow is to:

  1. Copy the Release text to my clipboard
  2. Open the "Inbound Data Filters" page (/settings/projects/<id>/filters/data-filters/)
  3. Scroll down to the "Releases" section in "Custom Filters"
  4. I already have over 100 releases in this list, so I carefully add one more to it.

This I feel is a bit cumbersome for something that happens regularly.

Solution Brainstorm

Add an option "Discard events from this release" to the menu below. When this option is clicked, the Release value should be added to the list of releases in Custom Filters.
