Ubiquiti made it mandatory for accounts to have 2FA enabled. Homepage integration for Unifi controllers is not working because of this.

In the past you could create local users without 2FA, is that still possible?

Yes, you can create a local account, and it works now.
In the Unifi controller, go to the Admins page, click the + button, make sure to uncheck Remote Access, assign a username and admin pass with view only access for Homepage.
