Is leaflet-geoman compatible with leaflet v.2?

Hello, I (probably) need to upgrade leaflet to v.2 because I need to use the ESM.

Using import "leaflet/dist/leaflet-src.esm.js"; is not working because I miss the global L and I get the error Uncaught ReferenceError: L is not defined. I have tried other ways to import (e.g. import L from "leaflet/dist/leaflet-src.esm.js";, import * as L from "leaflet/dist/leaflet-src.esm.js";) but none is working.

When I try to upgrade to leaflet v.2 where it has "fully ESM support" I get a warning about version conflict on geoman -and not only- (I have not installed the v.2 yet, I'm just seeing the npm warning). That's why I ask if geoman is migrating to the newer version.

Thanks for the fast reply! Is there an estimated time schedule for when this will be done?

Leaflet plans to release V2 in November, so November is our goal too
