Description

@mike126

Built early 2025, this mini rack holds most of my networking and home server devices. It's been great for keeping things tidy and pretty fun to build too. Sits inside the TV cabinet with a small hole drilled at the top back to help with cooling.

Gear

  • DIY patch panel
  • TP-Link TL-SG108PE Gigabit Switch
  • TP-Link OC200 Omada Controller
  • Raspberry Pi 3b
  • TP-Link ER605 Gigabit Router
  • Lenovo Thinkcentre Tiny M720q
    • Intel i5-9600T
    • 40GB DDR4
    • 2TB NVME + 256GB SSD
  • 4 port multi board supplies power for everything (Switch, Pi, Router and Lenovo), with the switch providing POE for the OC200.

Also part of this setup, but not in the rack is a TP-Link EAP670 Wifi AP powered by the POE switch and Asustor NAS for extra storage.

Software

The Lenovo M720q is running Proxmox with a few VMs and containers. On these there are a bunch of different services including Plex/Jellyfin media stacks, immich, paperlessngx, statistics for strava, it-tools, networking-toolbox, n8n, gitea, mealie, umap, miniflux, stirling-pdf, home assistant, code-server, audiobookshelf, frigate, open speedtest and more. I also host a few personal projects and websites I'm working on. Basically everything is running in a docker or LXC container.
