Updated period for some ICOS sites

Hi,

We are planning to run a series of hybrid models on flux sites using inputs processed by FluxDataKit. I found that a lot of sites from FluxDataKit ends in 2020 while they should be operational until today. Since we are implementing high-resolution sentinel-3 data that's only available after 2019, I was wondering if they could be updated as latest as possible. Please find attached a screenshot of ICOS sites available until recently, thank you!

A more useful source of additional data would be the following data products:

• ICOS release 2024-1 of Level 2 Ecosystem data (https://doi.org/10.18160/G5KZ-ZD83)
• Warm Winter 2020 ecosystem eddy covariance flux product for 73 stations in FLUXNET-Archive format—release 2022-1 (https://doi.org/10.18160/2G60-ZHAK)

You will see that these data products do not contain data from previous years. Our understanding is that a combination of these data with a data release containing previous years' data would imply an inconsistency as data are not processed consistently. Our approach has therefore been to select the single data source (product release) for each site which contains the longest record. In other words, we decided against combining data for a given site from multiple releases.

Since you are interested in data only after 2019 your data request is not covered by FluxDataKit and you'll have to find a solution on your end. However, I am open to reconsider our approach if you can convince me. Therefore:

• You could download and test data consistency across multiple releases (including those that are now in FLUXDATAKIT) for overlapping years. We can then look at the data and decide if a combination would make sense.
• You could reach out to data producers and get information about processing protocols and their differences across different releases. What is the expert opinion on whether data should be combined from multiple releases?

Thank you so much for the reply and advice! I would expect multiple releases from the same producer to remain relatively consistent (if not the same) so I'll start investigating the data from multiple relases on overlapping years first and see if you would considering combining different releases.
