Description

@nd-tbs

The OECD Digital Government Index (DGI) survey is not conducted on an occasional basis. The most recent survey data collection period being from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2024. Prior to that, data was collected for January 1, 2020 to October 31, 2022.

There is one question for which we provide a response, using the latest available SI extract that falls within the data collection window:

What is the percentage of services in the catalogue/register that can be accessed through the following channels?

Response provided was:

According to last published data of the GC Service Inventory, between April 2023 and March 2024 approximately:
a. In-person: 2% of client-based, external services reported in-person applications (from 6% in 2020-2021)
b. Web/mobile browser: 60% of client-based, external services reported online applications (from 26% in 2020-2021)
c. App: Not available (0-25% reported for 2020-2021)
d. Phone: 18% of client-based, external services reported telephone applications (from 3% in 2020-2021)
These percentages are based on the annual volume of client applications reported each year and does not reflect the true percentage of channels offered by GC services, due to the way the data elements are structured, and information is collected.

Calculation used:
Count # services with X_channel_application_vol >0, where X changes based on the channel in question
Filters:

  • Fiscal Year = 2023-2024
  • Service_recipient_type = "Client"
  • Service_Scope contains "extern"
  • Depending on measure:
    a. in_person_applications <> {0, NA, ND}
    b. online_applications <> {0, NA, ND}
    c. --
    d. telephone_applications <> {0, NA, ND}
