DVD/CD burn option not visible in Tasks on the Start Menu, and cannot seem to play CDs.

I have an external HP burner, compatible with every software on my system, but WMC. It simply does not show an option to burn, play or even rip CDs or DVDs.

The burn to CD option does not show up whenever I enter a song's synopsis area, under tasks.

This WMC is based on the Windows 8 version. The options to burn to CD/DVD were removed in Win8.
