Issue with signal loss

About 20 minutes into every recording I'm getting about 10-15 minutes of signal loss and video corruption. It seems to be very consistent, after about 40 minutes there is no further signal loss for the rest of the program. As its happening so consistently, across multiple channels and at different times of the day I suspect its not actually due with the antenna signal and probably more likely a software issue. I'm currently using hardware that worked well with Windows 7 and have moved to Windows 10. The issues with signal loss only started occurring after switching to Windows 10 and this version of WMC. Any ideas on how to solve the issue?

Does the problem exist when playing a recorded file, or just live tv?

This sounds more like a buffering problem writing to the temporary recording file rather than an issue with WMC.

If you skip backwards to when video was good, does it go bad in the same spot?

Which version of WMC are you using? There are a couple dll differences between 8.9.3 and 8.9.5 related to video. If you are using 8.9.5 then try 8.9.3; if 8.9.3, then try 8.9.5.

I was using 8.9.3... i'm now using 8.9.5. Its in the recording, you can rewind and the signal loss is the same. I think I'll try replacing the old HDD with an SSD.
