# Contribution guidelines

Although life for Nazareth Recipes began as a humble repo, designed to store the recipes of meals cooked at the Nazareth Guesthouse, it is growing to become a place to store any communal recipe made by a member of Founders And Coders. We at Nazareth Recipes want to both embrace this bright new future, but also to remember and respect our past.

Thus, although only recipes cooked within a Founders And Coders community environment (most likely the Nazareth Guesthouse) will be merged into the repo, we would :heart:love:heart: to have more recipes avaliable and to encourage wider participation in this project.

So if you have a recipe that you think deserves to be on here, but you are unable to cook it at a communal event, please follow the exact same steps as below, but when making a pull request, the PR should have the `Pending Cooking` label attached to it. Once it has been cooked and eaten by members of the community, those lucky diners can then review and merge!*

Once a pull request has been reviewed by 3 people **who ate the meal**, as well as or including a maintainer, it can be merged. A PR should never be merged if a reviewer has requested changes and not yet re-reviewed it.

If a PR is up for an unreasonable amount of time without progress, maintainers should consult the creator on whether or not it will be finished at some point, and if not, close it.

If a PR has the `Pending Cooking` label attached, it can remain open indefinitely.

Maintainers should not merge their own PR's unless under extenuating circumstances and after discussion with others.

# Thank you!

P.S. please star this repo.
P.S. please star this repo :sparkles:

###### * The reason for this seemingly ruthless rule is to ensure that a recipe is literally taste-tested before it is merged onto the repo - as per the Founders And Coders values, everything should be peer led and on a consensus basis, this rule helps to assure that for the recipes.

### Ingredients
- 400 grams of biscuits.
- 250 ml cream
- 100 grams bitter chocolate bar
#### Frosting
- 125 ml cream
- 100 grams bitter chocolate bar.

### Preparation

1. Smash the biscuits into really small crumbs.
2. Take a bowl and add the chocolate (1 bar) with the cream (250 ml).
3. Heat them up above a pan of boiling water, keep mixing until you get smooth mixture.
4. Add the biscuit crumbs to the smooth mixture and keep mixing until all the crumbs are covered with chocolate.
5. Pour all the mixture into an english cake tray and then press firmly so it would stick to the bottom of the tray.
6. Put the tray with the mixture into the freezer until the frosting is ready.
7. Take a bowl and add the chocolate (1 bar) with the cream (125 ml).
8. Heat them up above a pan of boiling water, keep mixing until you get smooth mixture.
9. Pour the frosting on the cake and spread it evenly.
10. After that keep it in the fridge for atleast 2 hours before serving.

Note: If you are impatient and want to eat this cake as soon as possible ( cause it's so delicious ) and not wait for it to be frozen, you could pour the mixture into a cup and eat it like a cup cake.

### Ingredients
- 2 small eggs
- a handful of parsley
- a handful of green/spring onions
- 1 teaspoon zaatar ( or to taste )
- salt and pepper

### Preparation

1. Chop the parsley and the green/spring onions into small pieces.
2. Add everything into a small bowl and whisk it with a *fork*.
3. Heat up a pan with a bit olive oil and wait for 1 min until it heats up.
4. Add all of the mix into the heated pan.
5. From here it's self preference on how much you want the omelette to be cooked, I would say flip it when it gets golden-brown.

Tips:
- The more you whisk it the fluffier the omelette is going to get.
- These are the base ingredients you could always get creative and add new ingredients on top of the base.
- Don't screw up the flip.

This tasty tofu recipe goes well with rice or noodles. Side dishes are a good idea such as some roasted red peppers or mushrooms.

## Ingredients

### For the beans
+ firm tofu (four packs)
+ corn flour
+ corn oil
+ 3 chillies (remove the seeds)
+ 3cm ginger
+ 1 large white onion
+ 6 cloves of garlic
+ 5 tablespoons dark soy sauce
+ 5 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
+ 3 tablespoons ground peppercorns
+ tablespoon caster sugar
+ small bunch of spring onions

## Method

### For the tofu
+ Cut the tofu into small 1-2cm cubes
+ Coat each tofu cube with corn flour
+ Once coated shallow fry in corn oil the tofu until crispy
+ Be careful not to fry too many in a pan at once as they can start to stew
+ Set aside on some kitchen roll to soak up some oil

### For the sauce
+ Finely chop the onion, garlic, chilli and ginger
+ Fry in some butter and corn oil
+ Once soft and shiney add the soy sauce, ground peppercorns and sugar, mix well and cook for 5 minutes
+ Add the tofu and warm through ensuring all the tofu is full coated
+ Sprinkle over the roughly chopped spring onions
+ Serve with rice or noodles
