Filter options for orders and attendees not working

The filter options for attendees and orders do not work. As a matter of fact choosing these options nothing happens.

This filter is applying for download file only, is it correct?

And could you please clarify how exactly it work?

1. for 'Filter by Date', whenever user choose this filter, there will be a another dropdown of dates (from event start to event end), user can check it.

2. for 'Filter by Discount', we will filter all orders/attendees have applied discount code? or another list dropdown discount code, user can have multiple tick.

So when user select the dropdown value, then input the expect value to text box below, that will filter by the selection right? AS I know till now the search text box is only filter by name and email.
A part from that, following the ticket #8996 the date time cannot filter due to the ORM format in server, you need to put full datatime or the code will be broken.
