Working environment for late seniors and cognitive challenged users

Description

Late seniors and cognitive challenged users encounter difficulties when using common desktop systems and require assistance from their caregivers. They are also easy targets for cyber criminals. This project aims to provide a working environment suitable for such users and improve their security protection.

This work is in progress.

User protection levels

Protection levels are based on user mental ability

Very restricted - for users with severe mental impairment

1. Browsing limited to whitelist webpages
2. Emails only from/to whitelist senders/recipients

Moderately restricted - for users with light mental impairment

1. Disabled text input on webpages (web search allowed)
2. Emails only from whitelist senders

Lightly restricted - for general senior users

1. Red-alert on phishing websites
2. Caregiver alert on filled-in form on phishing webpage

Student contribution

Students can contribute to the development by their bachelor's and master's theses
