Quick introduction: name's Alex, 19 years old, living in Moscow, Russia. I develop programs in Python, Java and C, web applications and websites.
I'm also a core member of Vasya Programmist, where we develop Minecraft mods.
I love translating projects, primarily English to Russian or the other way around. I just wish that more people were using Sphinx and Webslate to develop their documentation and API reference...
I want to create FOSS implementations of YouTube and Discord. But I won't. For now.
Personal opinions:
I don't like GitHub and I think that self-hosted Forgejo is the best repo storage system, but as a way to connect different developers - GitHub is still the best we have at achieving that.
I don't like C as a language for developing OSes, but it's still the best we have.
I don't like Windows as an operating system for developers, but it's the best we have. Don't bite me, pls. Yes, I've used Arch.
I mean, Linux is awesome, but I want to have a system that is both fit for development and daily usage. And I don't want any sudden kernel errors when I write a uni pdf that's due in 10 minutes.
