Problem
When the Vim command-line completion popup is open on the title screen, the preview panel shows fallback text such as NONE AGENTS.md, Evidence: unavailable, and Preview unavailable instead of rendering a useful preview for the selected file/directory completion.
Repro
- Start
jedit on the title screen.
- Type
: to enter the Vim command-line surface.
- Type
edit so the command/file completion popup appears.
- Move selection to a file such as
AGENTS.md.
- Observe the right-side preview panel.
Expected
The selected completion should either show an actual preview/source/evidence pane when available, or a deliberately designed lower-mode explanation that tells the user why preview is unavailable.
Actual
The panel appears effectively empty/busted, with generic unavailable text for selections that should have useful local file context.
Notes
This is not part of the current Vim power-move runtime batch, but it should be kept as a follow-up for the command/file completion surface.
