Scope

Define the normative machine-readable edict.core/v1 schema for the Core semantic algebra. This issue owns CDDL shape and validation only; it does not freeze canonical bytes or digests.

Deliverables

  • docs/abi/edict-core.cddl or equivalent normative schema artifact.
  • Schema coverage for Core expressions, predicates, types, blocks/nodes, and input constraints.
  • Validation fixtures that prove expected accepted/rejected schema shapes.
  • Topic-shelf/test-plan evidence explaining what is normative and what remains scaffolding.

Non-Goals

  • No canonical encoder implementation.
  • No golden byte fixtures.
  • No exact Core digests.

Rule

Freeze meaning before bytes. Freeze bytes before hashes.
