Echo 1.0: GitHub-Native Roadmap Migration #587

Description

@flyingrobots

Move Echo planning authority out of repo-local documents and into GitHub-native tracking before 1.0.

Doctrine

  • Issues are work truth.
  • Sub-issues are work breakdown.
  • Milestones are goalpost truth.
  • Projects are operating views.
  • Repo docs are stable design/doctrine/reference only.

Required work

  • Create and configure the Echo 1.0 Convergence GitHub Project.
  • Create Echo 1.0 GP0-GP6 milestones.
  • Attach current WAL/WSC roadmap work to GitHub Issues/Milestones/Project.
  • Revise PR docs: define the Echo 1.0 release contract and move live planning to GitHub #582 so it no longer lands a repo-local live roadmap as canonical truth.
  • Add or adapt guards to reject static issue counts, task-list roadmaps, branch-status prose, and dead planning paths.
  • Update repo guidance so future agents open/update Issues instead of editing roadmap/checklist docs.

🧪 Issue enrichment is currently in open beta.

You can configure auto-planning by selecting labels in the issue_enrichment configuration.

To disable automatic issue enrichment, add the following to your .coderabbit.yaml:

    issue_enrichment:
      auto_enrich:
        enabled: false

Closing from the 2026-07-03 issue fate audit. The useful work here is complete or superseded by the current GitHub-native release/goalpost structure; active follow-through now lives in the narrower open Echo issues.
