The fluentd image we use currently ships a version of this plugin with a bug that affects us ( #115 ).

I'd like to get the fix into the next release of that Image (kube-logging/fluentd-images#57).

A release of a new version of fluent-plugin-opensearch. -> #116 (comment)

Describe alternatives you've considered

Only workaround would be to install gem directly from github instead of RubyGems. This feels unclean and unneccessary.
