^ The documentation on it is quite dry.

Guide should cover:

  • When would I use this?
  • what is this?
  • What is it doing under the hood?
  • Is it creepy/invasive?
  • What's best practice using this so that I respect my users?
  • How do I set it up? (database_path setting is somewhat confusing)

Improve documentation on GeoIP databases (#10190)

documentation. I saw one about GeoIP in #8570 and wrote an overview of
how to set it up and why you would want to use GeoIP.
