A custom extension loads and continues to function.

💥  Actual behavior

When the agent initially enrolls, these extensions are loaded properly but after a while they de-register. We see that the extension process is running in the background but not returning any data.

Hey @xpkoala! this was a customer having issues with their custom python extensions. There was a bug in the osquery-python SDK, where a couple of exceptions were falling through and not being handled.

This was fixed in osquery/osquery-python#83 and with the release of new osquery-python SDK here osquery/osquery-python#84.

This has been fixed, and I think this issue can be closed (and here's the repro steps: osquery/osquery-python#83 (comment)), let me know if that helps.
