Will wait with this until the next release, to avoid sudden changes without it being user-visible. I could not find a changelog, have no way to know whether this would break anything or not.

Absolutely! Let's collect such smaller items and not confuse users with too many versions. This one is not an important update for Artisan. Their (not too detailed) changelog is here: https://phidgets.com/?view=changelog. Still nice that we get reminded on those updates here!
