@connorphee, I'm quite elated about your PR. I wanna evolve this project to addresses various problems faced by first-time contributors. I'd love to learn about your journey in open source community, the problems, pain points you had etc.
Could you explain how you felt when you went through the tutorial, made a PR and learned that I merged it?

Roshan, Thank you for the great message and interest. I am currently a senior in college studying CS. The past two summers I have interned at a large company as a software engineer intern, and have accepted a position there, starting when I graduate. Because of this, I have a good amount of experience with git and PR's. Despite this, I have been very intimidated to get involved in open source. I feel very eager to get involved, and to help grow the community, but have been more of a passive follower. I ran into something promoting Hacktober fest and figured now was as good a time as any to dive in. The tutorial and docs for your project were great, easy and clear to follow. Learning my PR was merged was a great feeling, I feel as if a gate has been lifted and I can continue forward. Sincerely, Connor Phee
