@inromualdo thanks for sending this pull request!
It looks like the only difference between setLocation and updateLocation is a call to updateChildren instead of setValue.
Could you reduce the code duplication? Things like checking for a null key and making the Map<> with the update are identical and don't need to be duplicated.
