Description

What feature or improvement do you think would benefit Files?

Windows Insider Builds have this new feature called "Drag Tray". It is a panel with app icons that shows when dragging a file from the File Explorer to the top of the screen. When you drop a file on one of the icons, the file is shared with the respective app. See the screenshot below for better understanding.

It would be very useful if Files supported this feature. So if you drag a file from the Files app, Windows' native Drag Tray appears.

Requirements

  • Show the Windows Drag Tray when dragging a file, folder, or selection of multiple from the Files app

Files Version

4.0.24.0

Windows Version

10.0.26220.7670

Comments

I am aware that the Drag Tray feature is still in preview stage and there is no official documentation for it yet. I will update this issue with relevant information as soon as it is released.
