Bug: Set as default isn't branch specific

Description

I have set preview as the default and when stable is installed, it will for always use stable.

Steps To Reproduce

1. Install preview
2. Set preview as default
3. Install stable
4. Open Files via Win + E or other program
5. See stable open rather than preview
