I'm no web designer, but I think the default link class looks horrible. Something akin to Sphinx-Gallery's blue on hover would be nice. It could be good to have some separation from the ordinary code even without hover, but we'll have to test it.

• Where should the CSS be put?
• More importantly, what should the CSS be?

So I _{(more like @juhokauppala, thanks ❤️)} figured it out, and the CSS is there. And I like the color and the fact that the links do not stick out. Buuut, we could introduce a config value to highlight the links some more. Something like sphinx_codeautolink_highlight_links: bool to inject some other CSS that has some other default color and maybe even a background highlight on hover. link_color: Tuple[int, int, int] would be an option too, but it would be harder to edit the CSS on the fly.

Discussed in #29: decorators don't have a color on hover. Pygments colors them gray so the same light blue could be cool.

It seems that the links are underlined on some themes, so let's try to get rid of those as well.

Also, I tested adding !important to the hover color, which did not fix imports and decorators not changing color.

We might test if users can use their own CSS files to override our styles, making it pretty easy to modify link styles exactly the way you want.
