Provision server-settings.json through variables

Hi,
i currently try to run a number of servers parallel using this awesome docker image. One thing i'm really missing is the possibility, to preconfigure the server-settings in docker-compose.
This would allow to set the variables and then run the server.

Might this be a possibility? Cheers

It's not planned to do that. But you could fork this repo and create your own entrypoint.sh. Then have docker hub auto build it when the base image changes.

Out of curiosity which settings would you want?

My main concern with this is we're gonna end up with every friggin server option as an ENV.

On the other hand, stateless deployments are good... although the saves and mods throw a fork in that.

I think at least username, api token, server name, server description and probably the server password would be nice.

A json for this purpose can be embedded in the container if someone wants to make it.

here we go. I added the rcon_password as this might also be something useful if you want to generate multiple instances in a single docker-compose and use the same password everywhere.

I hope it's ok to simply assume, that the user wants to set all variables, as soon as the INSTANCE_NAME is set, I wanted to prevent a check for every single variable here.

Not sure if this is related but it seems to be. With the addition of the ENVSUBST I see that I can now specify the port that the application is reporting to the Server Browser which is helpful for running multiple servers. My usecase currently is to run multiple servers on the LAN. Currently the only way that I can get the server to properly broadcast is to use the --network=host options which message with the ability to run multiple servers. Does the envsubst allow you to specify the port that the server is running on? If so, how would I specify that so that I can get multiple servers to show in the LAN browser.
