ImportError: cannot import name 'cat_all_gather' from 'pytorchvideo.layers.distributed'

Hi Im facing this issue when running the last code block in the install.md file.
Im trying to run the implementation on the kinetics400 dataset but still keep facing this error.

Hi, i've faced the same problem few days ago. The problem is with pytorchvideo: there is no 'cat_all_gather' in pytorchvideo.layers.distributed lib source. You need to build it from local source :
git clone https://github.com/facebookresearch/pytorchvideo.git
cd pytorchvideo
pip install -e .

HI, I tried the command “pip install -e .” in anaconda
but I got the following information:
TypeError: expected string or bytes-like object
note: This error originates from a subprocess, and is likely not a problem with pip.

Though I have searched this problem for a long time, I still don't know how to solve it.

If you can't install using pip install on the cloned git, another workaround may be to:

1. clone the pytorchvideo git
2. Add the cloned pytorchvideo git's path to your $PYTHONPATH environment variable.
